As the head of the student section of the Psychology Society at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of East Sarajevo, I’ve had the privilege of leading a group of highly motivated and creative colleagues. Our goal has never been limited to studying psychology through textbooks – we strive to live it through engagement, dialogue, and social responsibility.
One of the highlights of our activities was the celebration of International Day of Families, which we marked with a theatrical-style presentation. Instead of a traditional lecture, we chose to deliver something authentic – a staged portrayal of everyday family dynamics, challenges, and emotions. Through performance and reflection, we opened up important conversations about the value of support, understanding, and communication within families. It was a powerful blend of art and psychology.
We also honored World Autism Awareness Day by organizing a panel discussion featuring students, professors, and field professionals. The event focused on breaking down stereotypes, understanding the autism spectrum more deeply, and promoting inclusion in education and society. It sparked meaningful discussions and encouraged greater awareness and empathy toward individuals on the spectrum.
📣 It is truly an honor to lead such a dedicated and passionate group – students who are not simply passing through university, but are determined to leave a mark. Their energy, ideas, and willingness to take initiative motivate me every day to keep learning, growing, and contributing to our community through psychology.
These experiences have reinforced my belief that knowledge becomes most powerful when it is shared – genuinely, actively, and with the intent to create positive change.
