I'm excited to share that I’ve successfully completed the Coursera–APA PsycLearn Specialization in Qualitative Research Methods in Psychology. This three-course program provided an enriching and structured dive into the art and science of qualitative research—an essential tool for every psychologist aiming to understand human behavior in its full context.
While my academic journey at the University of East Sarajevo has already provided me with a strong foundation in qualitative approaches, I firmly believe there’s always room to grow. This specialization was a valuable opportunity to revisit core principles and strengthen my practical skills in a structured, internationally recognized program.
Through this specialization, I explored:
- The core philosophical foundations and naturalistic approach behind qualitative methods,
- Practical techniques for conducting interviews and observations,
- The use of coding and categorization in data analysis,
- And the development of interpretive frameworks for meaningful insights.
One of the most valuable aspects of this experience was the clear link between theory and practice. The courses didn’t simply outline abstract concepts—they demonstrated how qualitative methods come alive in actual research settings, especially in psychology where understanding human experience in depth is critical.
Whether you're a student or a professional in the field, I highly recommend this specialization for gaining practical, theory-backed knowledge in qualitative psychological research.
