Iβm proud to share that I recently took part in the Mapping Peace Across Generations project, organized by the Peacebuilding Initiative at Yale University. π
This unique and inspiring initiative brought together students, young leaders, and peacebuilders from around the world to explore how different generations perceive, build, and sustain peace in todayβs complex global landscape.
Why This Project Matters
In an age of increasing polarization, conflict, and generational divides, fostering dialogue across age groups is more important than ever. The project aimed to bridge these gaps by encouraging open conversations about:
- What peace means across generations
- How cultural, historical, and personal experiences shape our understanding of peace
- The roles young people can play in sustaining peace and rebuilding trust
My Contribution and Takeaways
Participating in this initiative gave me the chance to reflect on my own perspective, listen to stories from people with vastly different backgrounds, and think critically about what it means to be part of a generation working toward long-term peace.
