📘 I’ve already built a solid foundation in psychological research through the Coursera–APA specialization, which includes three focused courses:
- Methods for Quantitative Research in Psychology
- Statistics in Psychological Research
- Ethics of Psychological Research
Each of these courses provided more than just theoretical knowledge—they offered clarity, structure, and a deeper understanding of how rigorous psychological science is actually done. I revisited essential statistical principles, strengthened my grasp of ethical frameworks, and sharpened my ability to critically evaluate research methods.
But as with all meaningful pursuits, learning doesn’t stop once the certificate is earned. In science — as in life — there's always room to refresh, deepen, and expand our knowledge. Staying sharp is a mindset.
For me, that mindset means revisiting what I already know from new perspectives, applying it in practice, and constantly testing my understanding. Whether I’m designing my own research, interpreting complex data, or discussing ethical dilemmas with peers, the foundation I’ve built continues to evolve.
If you’re also working in psychology or research more broadly, I encourage you to occasionally go back to the basics — not because you’ve forgotten them, but because they often look different once you’ve grown.
